• A session/use is a discrete period of usage from a unique IP address.
• For Database collections, a "session" is a session started by the user and then terminated, either by the user exiting the session or by the session timing out.
• For E-Facsimile, E-Text, and HTML collections, a session/use is a period of usage in which file requests (also known as "hits") from the same IP address are not separated by more than 15 minutes. Session/use counts are always lower than the number of "hits" because a single period of usage involves multiple file requests.
• Collections with both Database and E-Facs/E-Text/HTML components show total sessions/uses combined.
